Copag is a company based in Sao Paulo, Brazil. This company produces plastic playing cards for poker and bridge since 1908. Due to the recent popularity gained from poker, the business of Copag has grown rapidly. In 2005, the Commissioner-General of the World Series of Poker, Jeffrey Pollack has designated as the official supplier of Copag playing cards for the tournament. The result was bad: the company, in fact, gave the cards that have been torn during the event several times, due to the inexperience of the dealer but mainly the enormous fragility of cards.
Since 2005, the Copag has become part of the Belgian group Cartamundi.
